Fultonville TA [Aug. 7th, 2005|10:32 am]
[mood | busy]

This is the first opportunity that I have had to write on this tour stint because we have not had internet access the whole trip. Luckily there was a TA Travel Center on the 90 from Utica to Schenectady in this little town called Fultonville.
The Syracuse show was a really fun time...Me jammed acoustic with Caustic for a couple of hours and hung out.
In Utica there was a couple of people at the bar and the soundguy Rosco just got off tour with Peter Frampton and Styx (he was the stage manager); he was an amazing dude, he spent like an hour on our soundcheck. It was really awesome to see how a balls deep sound check takes place, and we sounded really good. Plus we got dinner (Shrimp, cheese, bread, strawberries). It was amazing!
Yesterday we didnt have a show booked so we decided to find a picnic area on the way to fultonville and hang out for a bit. We found a good place right by water and hung out and bbq'd. I set up some of my drumkit and started jamming and these dudes came over and were all impressed and they were like "why dont you guys jam some songs for us."
So we set up and started jamming. The Generator on the RV quit a couple of times because there was too much power running to the PA system; but we jammed a couple of songs and the people were fucking feeling it!
We signed some CD's and hung out for a while, then we took off and now we are in Fultonville. We are going to Schenectady to play 2 shows, tonight & Monday.

Philadelphia, PA [Jul. 17th, 2005|03:06 pm]
What a great city...The shows in PA have all been amazing...We spent the night at my cousin's apartment she goes to college here and just happend to come back to Philly last night. She'll be coming to our show tonight in New Jersey...There is nothing like A/C and a real shower! She also made us all breakfast this morning. God Bless her!
We are waiting for her to come and meet us downtown so we can go to lunch together before we leave for our show in NJ.
Everything has been going fairly decent...We drove into a basketball net on accident at our show yesterday, and one of the vent covers on our fans on top of the RV fell off while we were driving...other than that everything is fine and dandy.

Mechanicsburg, PA [Jul. 15th, 2005|12:31 am]
[mood | tired]

We stayed at the TA in Breezewood, PA last night.
The hills from Pittsburgh to the TA were fucking brutal; actually the hills in PA are all pretty brutal...We made it though.
We played in an Irish pub last night and made $76! That was our biggest merch selling night to date.
The people at the venue were all really cool and we had a great time.
Right now we are getting ready to leave Mechanicsburg to go to the TA in Harrisburg to spend the night...
We dont have a show booked for tomorrow night, so it might be a day off for us as far as playing shows...we can definately use a day off, but I think that I still might be able to get us a show.
Either way, we are going to 2 radio stations in Harrisburg tomorrow afternoon and we will probably do some site seeing.

State Street Tavern Version 3.0 [Jul. 13th, 2005|02:14 pm]
[mood | lonely]
[music |Eminem]

We hung out at Ashley's dorm room for awhile...Showered, relaxed, then went to get tattoos. I got 2 music notes on my left arm, Matty got a star on his left wrist, and Charlie got a Rock on his left calf and a Star on his right calf...I will be putting the pics up soon.
We are going to be leaving soon to go to Pittsburgh.
The show at State Street last night was really fun, we met a lot of cool people, and made $30, so we were pretty pumped about that...
Hopefully we will be able to hit a TA up tomorrow afternoon.
So far everything is rolling smoothly.

Club Khameleon [Jul. 12th, 2005|01:50 pm]
[mood | hot]
[music |Mudvayne - Lost & Found]

We arrived in Kent, OH at around 4p.m.
The venue looked decent from the outside and was even better on the inside...
There was a dude from Buffalo at the bar and it turns out his sister graduated from West Seneca East in 2000.
I guess it really is a small world.
We ended up playing acoustic because it was another open mic and most of the other acts were acoustic with the exception of the dude before us that played metal guitar and played Tenacious D covers. It was pretty hilarious!
We made $23, and we were pretty excited about that...
We are in Erie, PA right now; hanging out at Ryan's girlfriends dorm room, doing laundry and we are about to leave to go and get tattoos.
Tonight we are playing at State Street Tavern, hopefully a lot of kids will come out to see us since it is Tuesday night and there isnt really much to do.

The Town Fryer [Jul. 11th, 2005|04:39 pm]
[mood | calm]
[music |U2 - Until the End of the World]

God bless Southern hospitality. It was Sunday so we played an open mic at this place called the Town Fryer. It was a Southern style bar/restaurant that had a house band. It was a really cool atmosphere and all of the people were very nice. We played 4 acoustic songs and all of the people enjoyed them.
Shannon and Angel made a surprise appearance the night before; I knew nothing about it until they showed up...Charlie told them where we were and the rest of the band members were pretty livid about the whole thing...I knew nothing about it though.
I was excited to see Shani, it broke up the monotony a lil' bit.
We went to the Rock & Roll hall of fame and that was a very good time...There is so much stuff to see in that place and it was pretty cool to see all of it in the midst of a tour.
Other than that we just checked out the city and played the show.
Some guy at the bar was talking to me after we played and he told me that Elvis Presley ate in that restaurant back in the day, I was pretty stoked about that...I can say that I played in a place that Elvis was.

Last night in Akron... [Jul. 9th, 2005|07:42 pm]
Since we stayed at TA Travel Center, the drive to Akron was short so we handled a lot of business online at the TA until around 4pm. We arrived in Akron at about 5p.m. and waited for all of the other bands to arrive.
At around 7pm, one of the club owners named Shawn (The new guitar player for Filter) came out to the RV and told us that we would be closing the show at around 12:45a.m.
We were pretty bummed about that, but we all checked out all of the other bands and made a lot of new friends and contacts.
All in all it was a good experience.
We stayed at a Wal-Mart in North Akron.
We woke up late today at around 1p.m. then we at breakfast/lunch at the waffle house next door to wal-mart. The meal was immaculate.
Then we went to Wal-Mart and purchased some much needed items.
Right now we are at the venue in Cleveland where we will be playing an open mic at around 9p.m.
Its a really nice coffeehouse and we are playing acoustic. Hopefully we can sell some merchandise tonight and make some new friends.

The Tour Begins... [Jul. 7th, 2005|03:39 am]
We drove from Buffalo to Ripley and slept at a truck stop. When we woke up we went to the porn shop that was behind the truck stop.
Matty got a blow up doll named 'Surprise' and I got a vibrating cooter called "The Clone."
Then when we got to PA Matty made me stop for fireworks at Phantom Fireworks they got 2 big assortments that should last us the rest of the tour.
Then we drove all the way to Columbus.
The show went very well. It was an open mic and we made $16!
We were pretty pumped about that. The crowd dug us and everyone was friendly. Then we drove around near OSU and flyered some of the bars.
We ran into this band called Hiatus; Matt knows the drummer.
We went and checked them out and they were pretty good.
After the show and flyering, we drove for a couple of hours to the next TA Travel Center. TA has kind of become our new home; it's a truck stop that has gas, showers, wireless internet and food. Tomorrow we have a short drive to Akron; so we will spend most of the day promoting and cleaning up a bit.

undefined [May. 29th, 2003|06:09 pm]
[mood |Pumped]
[music |U2 - Where the streets have no name]

My new band is called undefined and we are working on our first demo, all the music and vocal tracks are completed and we are finishing mixing the demo. Matt built his own studio in his basement and it is one of the greatest things that I have ever seen. The band is Ryan (vocals), Matt (guitar), and Me (Drums/Bass)...we are going to get a bass player just to play live shows. I'm really happy with the way the demo is turning out and I think that other people are going to like this too. I made the website for us (www.undefinedband.com), and I'll be putting audio samples on there as soon as the demo is done.

Tuesday May 27th, 2003 [May. 29th, 2003|05:48 pm]
[mood | tired]
[music |Deftones - Around the Fur]

The greatest day and the worst day of a person life rarely happens in the same day, but mine did.
On May 27th, 2003 my best friend Ryan and myself went to Cleveland, OH to see Chevelle and the Foo Fighters. (Dave Grohl=reason for me being a musician today.)
The concert was so amazing, I couldn't believe that I was finally able to see my idol in person.
On the way home from the show, however, my truck overheated 80 miles east of cleveland on the 90 East.
I had to pullover and wait for the truck to cool off, but it didn't matter because I blew a coolant line and the radiator had absolutely no coolant in it.
It was 1am and Ryan and I didnt know what to do so I called my parents in Buffalo and they called Triple A and signed me up, so then I called Triple A and they had to redirect me to the one in Cleveland.
I called the Triple A in Cleveland and they sent a tow truck to get my truck and take me back to Buffalo. We were 119 miles away from home and the charge was $2/mile after the first 3 miles, so it cost me $250 after taxes and all that bullshit.
We got back to Buffalo at 5:15am, and it turned out to be one of the shittiest things that could possibly happen, but it could've been much worse, it could have broke down on the way to the show, then I really would've been pissed.
I don't want to forget this story because it's pretty damn funny now, and at least I know that I could get out of a fucked up situation like this in the future.

It was a nice holiday. So that's basically everything thats been going on the last couple of months.

"Morning View" : Review [Oct. 25th, 2001|06:39 pm]
The new Incubus album came out on Tuesday (10/23). Luckily i wasn't busy that night and went to media play at midnight and purchased the album. The album is amazing the say the least...I listened to it all the way through at least 4 times, and it sounded better everytime. They have been an inspiration for me musically in the past, and this new album is really the epiphany of musical inspiration for me. I think that they did a great job and i admire all the creative things that they have done, continue to do with music.

[mood | worried]
[music |Incubus - Clean]

Today Laura told me that i am balding and its really been getting to me. Ill have to wait until i get home to verify this concern, but if it is really noticeable i think im going to grow my hair out, and maybe even go with dreads. Ill keep everyone updated during this tragic time.

[music |Staind - Four Walls]

We played at Cloud 9 last night. I thought that we played a pretty good show, but people were still complaining about mikes vocals. I thought that we all did a good job, in my opinion it was a great show. I need sleep, i think ive only slept like 15 hours in the past 3 days, im definately behind. I think im going to go work on that now.

[music |OLP - Clumsy]

what is this world coming to? yesterday an innocnent driver of a greyhound bus gets his throat slashed and people die, then today a plane gets shot down and dozens of people die. I wonder when/if this shit is ever going to end because it really does bring a tear to my eye. I think that if these stupid acts continue it could have a serious long-term effect on the free-will of America. People are going to be afraid to travel by almost any means and businesses are going to suffer tremendous loses in every aspect. Thats basically all i want to say about that at the moment, i dont have much more to say.
